It would be nice if it was obvious that a question was asked by a ten year old. Many people would answer differently if they realized they were responding to a child. It's too easy to get wrapped up in sarcasm after seeing several stupidly asked questions. I wouldn't want my child to post a question here because of the types of answers that would follow.

Sure I would! Age is just a number, I know some 30 year olds who are less mature than some of the 10 year olds out there!

Judging from some of the questions and asked and some of the spelling used, that 10 year old might be the oldest person on YA

One way to find out.... find a 10 year old and get them to post a question!...

Seriously children are often asking questions, and its a good thing, how esle do we expect them to learn?

of course there are also those questions most people prefer not to answer, especially those that show immaturity or perverseness (rather than simply lack of knowledge)...

YES. I'm sure I have already. Any one who can formulate a
question & post it gets answered.
BTW, there are many, many, many adults on this site who could
take tutoring classes from a 10 year old. Even a 7 year old.
Thank You very much for allowing me to sound off via your
question.

If they have an honest and thought out question, I certainly would. Even though they don't yet have the ability of conceptual thought process, they can ask some very interesting questions.
