I have a download program (ares) and I can use this program but I cannot open MSN messenger or internet explorer. I cannot view any internet page. I think connection is ok, but internet explorer doesn't work. How can I solve this?

Try restarting your moden and computer,,give the modem time to reset.....run your disk cleanup program before restarting computer

The first thing I would do would be to uninstall the downloaded program, whatever it does. If this won't solve the problem, try to run an antivirus and scan your computer for any viruses. Still won't work? Uninstall "Internet Explorer", restart your computer and install "Internet Explorer" again.
That's all I can tell to you... It would be more if I've had more detailed information about the program you've downloaded and what it does.

do a system restore back to a point prior to installing Ares. The stuff that you download there can and probably is filled with viruses and malware. Try Limewire. Seems to be a bit safer.

Sounds like it could be a firewall issue. Download Firefox and see if you can get to the Internet with it. If you can, then it is a firewall issue. Switch from the Windows firewall to the free ZoneAlarm (which is much more secure) and the issue should be resolved.

Use system restore. A restore point should have been created when you installed Ares go back to a time before you installed it.

THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME FOR ME. I JUST WAIT A FEW DAYS AND USUALLY THE CONNECTION IS BACK.
