The film is based on a true story. The facts being that they found the guy who escaped and the other two girls were never found. The guy was entrapped the entire time until he escaped and was rescued, so he actually has no account of what happened to the females. The entire movie was just another scary flick that had a wedge of truth in it. Yes, some crazy guy kidnapped three people, only one man came out of it. Those are the facts...the rest of it was just someone's imagination making some big bucks.

It was based on true story's, although they say no evidence has ever been found. The man is still out there. I would never go to Wolf Creek

Im in Aus, the movie was based an a true event, the young guy was held in custody for ages but they couldnt find any evidence to support his story or to refute it, they never found the place were it all took place, but the girls really did go missing. I will NEVER go bush again though after watching it!!!

its true but i don't think the stuff he actually did was true just the bloke and loads of kids going missing and it said in the end that he got away with it and is still out there i would want him dead wouldn't you i mean a murderer on the loose i defiantly wouldn't go on Holiday there!

the film is "supposed" to be based on a true story. don't even see it. the movie is soooo freakin horrible. not worth the movie money that was spent to make it. horrible, horrible movie.....blah...
