Italy's record is a bit strange really. Their 1st two world cup wins came in 1934 & 1938, when it really wasn't a "true" world cup. They were fairly lucky in 1982. BUT... in 2006!?!?! Come on - they were terrible. I have never seen a team less deserving to win anything before. The way they played was uninspiring and the amount of "simulation" (diving, feigning injury etc), was deplorable. I was very sad to see a team like this win the world cup.
