Gasoline will be phased out by some new energy source before that happens. And, like others have said, it would never happen anyway based on economics.

Never, if gas prices continue to rise, demand for automobiles will drop, reducing the auto companies' economies of scale. The price of an automobile will rise as well.

Never. The price of gas raises the price of everything else. It might just get to the point where we all find ourselves walking, riding a bicycle or for that matter riding a horse to where ever we need to be.

I get them on sale for less the $1.00 but my hot wheels use to be a lot cheaper before.,oh by the way i don't think that will ever happen.lol

After all of us ( who still not posses even a motorcycle ) change our taste to ride a horse as our transport ( just like cowboy era )

I give it 5 years, max. It's unbelievable now as it is. I think we all should choose alternative transportation until we get some relief!
