Some recent researches are telling that pills may make problems for the baby if the mother takes after pregnancy. During the pregnancy period, mothers body produces different kinds of internal fluids necessary for the mother and the baby. The pills MAY interact with these enzymes and may produce negative effects.
However it depends on the nature of the pill the mother takes.

What I want to know is why are these men anwsering this question? You can only be speculating unless you are a Doctor! Guys, don`t tell us your "I know everything" answers you don`t know!!! Guys don`t know anything about Birth Control Pills so stop answering the questions unless you have taken 1 everyday at the same time for 6 months you don`t have any answers.

This is a good question but for the young women out there that may read this and think that Birth control pills are not effective are wrong. The only time they are not effective is if you miss 3 or more pills in a 28 day cycle. So, if you know that you have forgotten to take 3 or more pills in any 28 day package you know you have to use another form of Birth control or just don`t have sex! Very simple people! Birth Control pills are most effective form of not getting pregnant. So, people use your heads! You will know if you are pregnant because you know when you had sex and if you took your pill on time. So, don`t kid yourselves by saying, " I didn`t know I was pregnant!" How could you not know!

Yes there is a risk. If you think you may be pregnant you should stop taking the pill until you have taken a test. keep using condoms though just in case.

Also to a previous poster, guys can know just as much about birth control as women, all they have to do is read a booklet, its not hard. Also no birth control is 100% even if you take it right all the time, and you only have to miss one not three for you to be unprotected. Might wanna check your facts before you end up in the same situation as the person who asked the question.
