Yes you can from www.orkut.com if you have Gmail account if you have not then send me a mail at heaven_dream009@yahoo.com i will invite you to make a Gmail account and then i will invite you for orkut community
Note:you cannot join Gmail or orkut community directly you will need an invitation for join.

why not just write to people who answer your questions and hope that some kind of friendship or correspondence begins. ask something interesting enough and you might begin an open debate with a person.
