One guy asked a question about racist jokes. I reported the question about thirteen times telling Yahoo to remove it and it was still there the next day. I asked a harmless, inoffensive question: "Chewbacca, is that you?" and they take it down in nine hours. Is that fair?

By the way, about ten people answered saying they reported the guy. Not a single person said they reported my question, at least no one who answered it.

I also just noticed they took down my question about "why do you people think I'm a guy?" because it was not a question or answer. Um,. yes it was a question smart ones! I don't mind taking it down, but use the right reasons! And I don't get why they remove resolved questions either. If its resolved, what's the problem?

No, but, as I learned a long time ago, life is anything but fair. Somebody asked a question on racism a few days ago, and, even though I find both racial terms very offensive, in my answer I was quoting two other people, who used the racial slurs "honky" and "******". As you can plainly see, Yahoo did not bleep out the racist word blacks use for whites, yet it did for the one that whites use for blacks!

Again, I don't use racial slurs, and find both of them to be very offensive! Yet, why does Yahoo censor out one and not the other? I call this discrimination against Caucasians for freedom of speech and expression.

no its not. and yahoo answers is a joke! their reporting system and/or methods for deleting questions is the biggest load of crap ever!

i have been reported for answering a silly question with a silly answer (not offensive), and got a notice.
but the idiot that put a question in here about wishing my hubby would be killed in Iraq, STILL has his question up after 3 days, and TONS of ppl reported him for his hatred. his question was just horrible and totally unprovoked, as I've never even spoken with him OR answered any of his questions before. he just targeted me.

I've also tried sending Yahoo a direct email about the question, and requesting at the very LEAST having it removed from the board.
this was 2 days ago that i sent them an email, and although they sent an email saying someone would contact me within 24 hours...its been over 36 hours and I've still haven't heard from anyone.
its obviously a computer controlled system...one that has MANY bugs yet to be worked on!

Oh so sorry to hear this! I dont think its fair like that!
Did you explain it well when you reported it?

On a serious note: How did you manage to do that look? I love the wig! Its awesome and fun... how did you do it?

It takes time for them to read all reports. I do not think they were ignoring you or the report. There are so many, you are not the only report they have to respond to. Patience is a virtue. Glad to hear they did do something though.

I have that happen all the time! And I follow the guidelines pretty well! One user specifically referred to me in an answer she gave saying she would kill me and calloed me a c--t and they never removed that! So go figure!
