You can use it after you learn it. The popular saying "Why should I learn Math, I'll never use it after I leave school", is a very foolish belief. You will use math many times each and every day of your life. Not just basic Math either. You will need your knowledge of Algebra and Trig. thousand of times over the years. Everything in the Universe can be explained in a Mathmatical equation. Including why women pick the worst men to love.
They used to call a basic education as "Read'in, Writ'in and Rithmatic". Basically what this means is, If you learn to read well, write well (English Grammer) and do Mathmatics well, all other learning comes easy.

Are you kidding me... .this has to be a trick question...How do you use math??? Well you have to be someone that may be in high school and doesn't like math or you may be in college having a tough time with College Calculus... I say this because if you are an adult and out in the work force you diffinitely wouldn't of asked the question...and you cant be an engineer...hehehhehe... but if you are looking for the scientific answer...then I know you are a very intelligent person trying to dissect the total being of math.. and those people we would catagorize in the 70's as "Man Your Deep"...So later gator..

Mathematics has very applicable uses in our daily lives. Responsible uses of math in the medical arena can allow doctors and nurses to give exact life saving doses of medicine, safe levels of medical treatments or even measure a patient's vitals during surgery.
Mathematics also allow building contractors to construct safe structures for residential use of commercial / business uses.
High-level mathematics are used by pilots who fly fighter jets or commercial airline planes in areas of fuel/engine oil use, altitude, cabin pressures, geometric navigation and arrival time estimation.
NASA also uses physics math in all their space exploratory missions, from the Apollo moon landings, to space shuttle hops to landing Mars lander probes.
And if you look real close into your daily life, you too use mathematics unconsciously......just look close and see.
