I know most of us would want to be "like" mother Teresa, but sadly I know most of us crave to be living the life like Paris Hilton.

Eugene Debs once said, "I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. When I rise it will be with the ranks, and not from the ranks."

I respect Mother Teresa much more, but I wouldn't be proud to be poor. If you aren't able to improve the living conditions of the poorest of society, then it would be a failure. Like Debs said, it would be better if your own life got better because you've improved the lives of everyone, and you have risen with them.

This is more like an unintensional trick question.

Be rich like Paris Hilton only mean having similar wealth. Be poor like mother Teresa doesn't mean you can be equal to the great nun.

Or rather, if you are actually asking... *Would rather be the rich but terrible Paris Hilton or be the poor but holy mother Teresa?*

Then the answer is simple: I rather be the god worthy worship by the great mother Teresa, so that I can bless such as her...and the power to punish rich rascals.

Better?

It took a bit of thought, but I've decided that I would prefer Mother Theresa.

I personally don't think that Paris' life is all that great- sure, she has money and a car and jewellery... but at the end of the day, if I could choose living in my big, phoney mansion, chatting on my cell phone to one of my phoney friends, with my fake hair, nails, teeth, body, etc. or living a humble life, knowing that the people who were around me were there because they genuinely CARED about me and not because I was rich and could get them ahead in life, I'd take the latter.

Being wealthy as wealthy and materialistic as Paris, you never get the chance to learn the true value of things and the people who come into your life are often just there to use and abuse you- it's a miserable and lonesome existence and one that would not have you remember for a very long time after you passed away.

I'd rather live humbly and have a long, meaningful legacy than live it up with riches and have no one remember me for anything other than my cool car or my $1000 hand bags.

Money can't buy happiness and I would rather be sure of those around me, emotionally secure and poor than rich and always watching my back for the user.

This is a tricky question. First off, I'd much wrather be wealthy than poor. Mother Teresa? Paris Hilton? They are both only human so who cares. Mother Teresa did what she did and Paris is doing what she does!

Definitely Mother Teresa, she is much better than Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton maybe rich, but i think she always uses her money for useless thing, like party, and buying expensive clothes. she doesn't know how hard other people to get money. but still i wanna be rich like Paris, but if i were rich, i wouldn't use my money for useless thing.

wow -

Well I guess I can relate more to Mother Theresa than I can to Paris in that I can't believe someone can live in this hurting world and be so self-absorbed with material things.

With Paris' money, I know that I would not need much of it for myself and my family ....i.e. "wow these $2000 shoes are so hot and they would go so great with this one outfit I want to wear clubbing".

But rather, spend the $2000 on food for a small village. Or medical attention, or shelter for a family. On the list of needs goes.

But I definitely would not want her lifestyle....I reall don't understand the "it's all about me" mentality and living in excess while others need the basics.

I think most people would be lying if they said they would really rather live like Mother Theresa. Of course, she is a better person than Paris, but come on! I think everyone wants to more "like" Mother Theresa in the giving and kindness that she was, but still.

That is a tough question.Yes,everyone craves to be rich. But see how Paris is using it.She is utterly disgusting.I DON'T want to be like that.I would rather be Mother Teresa eventhough she is poor. She got a good name from everyone and she seemed to be very happy with what she was doing.

Paris sucks!! See what happens when you have that much money? You think the world revolves around you, all logic is lost!! I would pick Mother Theresa in a heartbeat!! You don't need major amounts of $$$$$$$ to be happy!
