People with a higher static rate have been know to have problems with any or all electronic equipment. They can screw up the color on a TV or cause malfunctions that can't be explained. It is not common but common enough that the very earrly computers were subject to breakdown from static from a lot of users. It use to be common equipment to have a chair mat or a pad or other devices to break the charge of such users and save the equipment
Computers are not as sensitive but a highly chargeable human still can cause damage and in office I have seen people who have a wrist devise to "ground" them because they have realized they are one of these people who carry a lot of static electricity.
The devices, pads, wrist deals and etc are still out there... try asking about them at a Stationery Store ... Home Depot, Office Max, The Good Guys or other electronic stores may have them in stock too.

no. the mfield is devveloped due to weak current flowing in body in nerves. it is very very weak.if it was so then laptops wont exist...do u find magnet repelling or sticking at u
