Use a reflective transparent paint on the license plates.
It will overexpose the pictures making them unreadable.
It is widely used in Europe. I don't know if there are places where it is illegal, but to the naked eye it is almost impossible to tell if you have it.
I found it on a Home Depot store. Should be available in many places, although it is obviously not intended for that use.

Buy a radar detector that jams the signal.....
Note: They are illegal in most states.
