I want to buy a printer for home. Which is better one, Inkjet or Laser Jet? Hw many copies each cart.can give?

The printer will be used occasionally, just for printing some letters or mails etc. It may be lying idle for some time also.

for ocassion use inkjet is the best printer , it is cheap and affordable , and print in the speed u required . but before buying one should check it s configuration .

for the purpose I would suggest inkjet because of the low budget profile, low maintenance costs. Anyways, not printing with it for 3 and more months can cause sometimes ink to stick on the cartridge and u might need to print a page before printing the actual page to ensure it will clean. If not u need to brush it with a soft cloth, cotton- is best, probably once a year u'll need to change cartridges...or probably two years..depends when u make the 300 pages..:)
and cartridges are pretty cheap nowadays...

You may consider buying 3-in-1 printers like HP PSC 1510 or even the cheaper 1410.
