I don't really know... But I am soooo in favor of making it illegal. Once a child is conceived, even though he or she is still in the mother's womb, he or she is already alive. And that's LIFE were talking about!

Simple fact: Abortion is leagal because having babies when you don't want them is inconvenient. And the one's being killed are incapable of complaining about it.

Human beings have this horrible tendancy to only care about the issues which inconvenience them. When creating laws they are typically ruled by the opinion of the majority. There are more people that think it would be inconvenient to have a child when they don't want it than people who don't. Murder would be leagal if it weren't for churches, victem's family and attempted murder survivors all complaining and making other people feel guilt and horror at their situation. Humans as a whole tend to be motivated 9 times out of 10 by self interest and then they justify it by saying "we're doing this for women's rights". In actuality it's only because of teen mothers that still want to go to highschool and pretend they didn't get knocked up and the older sugar daddies that don't want to pay child support on yet another illigitamate baby. Also just look how full orphanages are NOW, think about how many more children would be being abused and forgotten in state run facilities if we forced people to birth all children.

When abortion was illeagal they found that people were just as eager to get rid of babies as they are now. They would induce abortion at home with dangerous herbs/chemicals or literally use coat hangers to open their womb and kill the fetus. Or when the baby came to term there were higher incidences of young girls just drowning them because they couldn't deal with reality. The kind hearted that weren't out just for their own convenience were thinking of these grim statistics.

At last there was the huge campagne by the "Planned Parenthood" organization. In truth if you look at the documented mission statement their leader was only advocating putting abortion clinics in low income areas or "ethnic" areas because she wanted to encourage people of color and the poor to abort their children. She was a huge biggot that wanted to leagally get these people to not breed. She actually succeeded in getting all girls to want more free abortions for the aforementioned reasons.


I know this all sounds cynical but bottom line this is why.

In modern day world to have abortion illegalized wouldn't really work because people would do it anyway. It rather be done safely with all precautions and sanitary measures. When it was illegalized women called on butchers and got their wombs removed. This was a rather dangerous practice. Hence, to avoid such situations abortion got legalized.

Abortion is a medical procedure with a lot of emotion surrounding it. For the most part if it where illegal, we would have a lot of sisters, daughters, and mothers being butchered in dark allies at the hands of disreputable surgeons. If abortions are outlawed, only outlaws will perform abortions.

Because woman have the right to choose what goes on with there own body thats like someone controlling ur organs in ur body....is that something you'd be willing to let someone do to you?And god forbid it not to be legal do you realize how many children will be in the streets or with abnormalities and diseases,these are also reasons women have to give up there children to abortions
