Can someone give me some realistic figures on how much one can earn working in the UK? I'm an Asian, thinking of relocating to the UK to do odd jobs. Can anyone recommend a good website for me to find jobs online? Most of the ones that I've come across are targetted at graduates (which I am not one :P)

Nobody got it right yet it looks like. I used to work at McDonald's and "Table" meant making the sandwiches. We usually had two people on table, or just one if it was slow. So on table would mean getting the right wrapper out and putting the condiments on the bun and/or putting the meat on and wrapping it, depending on if you are alone or with someone. I think wrapping them is the easier part on table because you don't have to pay attention to when a new order is coming in, the other person does. "In grill" meant either on table, cooking the hamburger/grilled chicken, or putting the fried meats in the oil vats, three different jobs in grill. So hopefully it's the meats you are saying you don't know :) And don't feel bad about Bloodmoney's comment. 1 in every 8 Americans have worked at McDonald's at some point. That's just McDonald's specifically. (I read an article called "18 Facts About McDonald's That Will Blow Your Mind" recently lol). It's a very common starting place, it is not a job reserved for idiots.

They will pay you minimum wage or slightly above (KFC often pay a little better). The minimum wage is £5.05 per hour if you are 22 or older, and £4.85 if you are 18-21.
How much you earn in a month will depend on how many hours you can do, but if you have the right papers to work in the UK, you can also do factory jobs. My advice, don't move to London.

min wage is 3 pound an hour . doing odd jobs in the Uk you will starve as its a very expensive place to live .. . fast food will pay you about 5 pound per hour if that. cost of living is out of this world in the uk
