An interesting question. Yes, I think that were Camilla "better" looking, it's likely she would gain more acceptance amongst the public. The royal family is severely lacking in star quality at the moment and people have short memories.
Had she been younger and better looking than Diana it's likely that people would have understood how Charles could have traded Diana in. She wouldn't have been any more accepted, but people would have understood it a bit more.
As it were, a lot of comparisons were made between Diana and Camilla in the looks department - something that Diana played up in the media but which probably didn't win her any points in the royal family - she was seen as a threat. Now, with Diana out of the picture, the way Camilla looks works for her, especially in the royal family, she's not seen as a threat to anyone.

I do not think it would matter what she looked like.
The fact is that the British public really loved Diana & were outraged the Camilla & Charles carried on their affair right in front of her with no regards to her feelings.
They even spent a well-publiscised night together on the eve of his marriage to Diana.
Diana did her duty as a royal wife & supplied the heri & the spare & did not deserve his indiffernece to her to be shown in so public a manner.
The British public will never love Camilla, but they will tolerate her because, after all, we are a very polite people.

Princess Diana was a money grabbing actress in a soap opera that appealed to the preliterate, the sorts that live their lives through others and idolise the medias elected icons. Camilla is a real person, with real love, I don't suppose she would threaten to undermine the institution of the royal family, for a few million pounds. I hated the simpering immaturity of Di, she was like a fairy tale, and that is how she wanted to be perceived.

No, she's just middle-aged. It's the fact that she'd be some kind of quasi-queen once the queen carks it that is the problem. Some people think that will dilute the lineage of the throne. But the fact is that that family is all Krauts anyway, and not British, so perhaps Camilla would bring some national pride back into the family.

She is Camilla, not Diana - why should she try to be who she's not? She presents herself very well. She looked beautiful on the day of her wedding to Prince Charles, very elegant. I think that she is lovely, and the wedding of Charles and Camilla was one of the most moving I have ever witnessed. They are obviously very much in love. I hope they'll have a very long and happy marriage.

No.
Diana captured the hearts of people by initially her shyness, but then her work for public and charity.
She was a real person that we could associate with, she made mistakes and admitted them - she was real.
Camilla could never replace her - and that's a shame for Camilla. She seems to be doing ok as the wife of the future King. TIme will tell

I have no objection to Camilla, she is a lovely person and she is making Charles very happy too, if Charles had been allowed to have Camilla as his one true love all those years ago then people wouldn't be so rotten about her now.

It has nothing to do with Camilla's look. It is just not right for her to be in where she is today. But we cannot solely blame her since it takes two hands to make a clap.
Forget about Diana's beauty, but do remember the good things she did to the world.
