i have a virus,well as far as i know it is! getting error about system 32 exe file not found...
talked to the pros said to run virus scan and if not fixed to reformatt.. done that, still there as i think it is a virus that re installs on windows start up, now i am going to reformat, but do i just put the windows disc and run it.. or do i need to delete the things on my pc first? i dont need anything on my pc as i have it all on disc...
if someone can please give me a quick run through... it would be greatly appreciated..thanx in advance x0x0x0

Use link below or use Partition Magic 7 to format your hard disk. Then when everything is ok, install your antivirus like mine - ANTIVIR.

either go to bios and set cd to 1st boot or
i think F8 gives 1st cd boot option too.
boot with cd in, it mucks around for few minutes then u should see the existing patition with windows on it.
DELETE the partition, then install on the space.
even split the space into 2 so u get 2 partitions.
this should then give format option for the above said.
do this, ntfs. then windows will clean install after format.
you can format the remainder of the drive in windows if you made 2 partitions...

just reboot your machine and set your bios to boot from CD, when you restart insert your windows CD or whatever OS you are using and boot from your CD. with windows, linux and even Mac os you should be able to reinstall the OS and you can also choose to format your harddisk. if you have a utility disk provided by your hardware vendor you can boot from that disk as well it will allow you to even low level format your hard drive
