In your experience, is it easier to learn mathematics in English or in Filipino?
English is the government approved language for teaching Math right? But in real life, teachers use a combination of English and a particular regional vernacular.

I do believe that it is easier to learn and to teach mathematics and the sciences in the type of lingo the students are at home with. What do you think

English is considered the national language of many countries. In that case if you teach Mathematics in vernacular language then the students might learn it well but they will not be able to face the world in a better way as lack of English knowledge would make them inferior.

Instead if you develop a habit of teaching only in English, your students would not only learn mathematics or science but also learn english language.

My advice is don't look for easier things as of now. See the benefits students get after few years down the line.

I'm a Filipino. I appreciate my language. But I believe that subjects are easier taught in the english language. This is just my opinion for I have been brought up in a english speaking home. =)

I think it would be better to teach Math in english since most of its terms are different to translate to filipino. Also, students will benefit from it for it will help them practice their english.

Is math not the same in every language?

Do others add, subtract, multiply, and divide differently?
We know the Chinese counted with an abacus.

I only see written problems as a difference in language.

I guess I lost something in the question.
