not sure that it was supernatural, but I saw this guy literally on the streetcorner in NYC without any arms or legs. and he was smiling and happy.

Oh yes, I was driving over to my grandmothers when I was 17 years old. It was late evening and very dark out, not a lot of traffic. Out of nowhere I swear the figure of a small child floated in front of my car and I slammed on the brakes. The freaky part is that it looked sort of like white fog with a very distinctive shape. I got out of the car and didn't see anything. It totally freaked me out. I have never forgotten it.
