With so many listings of mobiles, eBay are finding it difficult to keep up with the ones that are real and the ones that are fake.
They actually have a department in Dublin, Ireland that skim through ads looking for adverts that break their rules.
And their rules are tough!
Best advice is when you list on eBay -
you need to ensure you submit your own photo's (don't copy someone else as this looks like you don't even have the phone yrself).
Offer to accept payment through Paypal as the buyer will have protection then.
Don't be dodgy by putting exorbitant postage costs in an effort to secure more money.
If all else fails - re list and see if they remove it again. they will get back to you (via email) if you ask them why. (but it takes a few days)
Good Luck!

It's definitely the wording. The fewer the words, the more chance you have of selling something without being booted off. I had some Microsoft software kicked off once, not because it was illegal, but because I was including a free CD containing all the updates.
Apparently, that was very wrong because, even though the updates are free - only Microsoft is allowed to give them away free. They reckoned I was "selling" their free updates as part of the product...
eBay probably inferred from your wording that either:
a) the phone was still the property of the operator
b) it was stolen
My guess is (a) - they've probably been told by Vodaphone/3/whoever that all the phones remain their property for 6/12/18 months.
Advice: If you don't give any specifics, there's no reason for barring the auction - just say "I've got this phone, it's not locked to any network, it works fine, it's in good condition"

they are not stupid when it comes to collecting fees, you have to change some of the wordings in your listing, some words are not allowed by ebay and deem to be illegal and listings will be removed without having to consent with the seller, same if your are using a turbo lister, but in turbo lister, they tell you it is illegal before it goes on to ebay.

Perhaps the wording or description used wasn't worded right.
