Its a sign that the person feels comfortable to say this to you. I find it very hard to take compliments, it makes me feel self indulgent and guilty. But I love taking nasty/joking comments well. I find myself funny because I do and say stupid things, I could not respect a person that did not see this. It would make them more stupid than me, and I could not go out with a man less intelligent than me again. It is rubbish!
I like guys to be honest, funny and critical. The last thing I want is to be buttered up and lied to.
I'm not a fan of cocky guys though. Cocky equates to arrogance and I bloody hate arrogance.

Women like a nice man, but are sexually attracted to a bastard, I don't know how to put it simpler then that, however, I can give more details. It's not the bastard and prick qualities that women love, it's more of the qualities that come with them. Take a moment for a thought, think of a nice guy, what do you see? Most people would say a trembly, weak, nerdy, mamma's boy, wussy, and boring guy. Not very attractive huh? Now think of a jerk, get past his behavioral traits, put your mind on Mute if you have to, but you would usually see him as tall, confident, standing up straight, focused, independent, funny guy right? Those are the base traits that those two types have, jerk guy will attract a billion times more women being a jerk and displaying those hiding traits with it then Mr. nice guy will with his weak and trembly air of him. However if you swap personalities, you'd have what really should be, if attraction was logical. But you get the idea here, and it's not entirely hard for Mr. nice guy to start acting more confident, independent, and funny, because if he does, he'll be good on paper, and in practice.

Very honest answers from girly girl and Rae. Its because of attachment in other ways. Sometimes women prefer bossy violent men. I once had a customer who's always getting busted up by her man. Everyone on the street knew but they all said it's a private matter. One day I advised the woman to quit the violent relationship, the next thing I knew the man was in the shop accusing me of flirting with his wife. He damaged goods in my shop and i gave him a good hiding. Everybody cheered when I got on top of him and whacked him. Guess what she called the police and accused me of assaulting her husband.
When the Police came they did not even look at me just took note of all the damage he caused in my shop. He was driven straight to the cell because apparently that month he had already broken his bail condition twice.
The moral of my story that some women loves getting abuse.
(Yes i secretly did fancy her but I'm not her type). I just coulnt give her the grief she craves, She is firmly locked into that violent cycle of abuse.
One day when I met her in the pub with some friends Her friends told me there's nothing more exciting than to hear the voice of a man losing his temper and then she shouts back insults at him in order to tip him over the edge. when he lifts his hand to start the adrenalin rush is ecstatic.

I don't think all women are attracted to men like that, but women who are, generally have self-esteem issues. Low self-esteem may cause a person to have a negative opinion of themselves, which becomes part of their self-concept (who they are in the world & how they've learned to get their needs met). An abusive man who is constantly giving negative comments to a woman will be reinforcing this self-concept, which maintains her low self-esteem. This maybe attractive because it doesn't challenge how a woman sees herself & she may feel that she deserves to be treated that way.
Low self-worth can cause a woman to get stuck in a cycle of attraction & they will constantly end up in relationships with men who behave like that. To break out of this cycle they need to work on increasing their self-esteem - counselling will help this & it definately works!!

How ridiculous! Notice that it is by and large the men that have this view and the women who are contradicting it! Views like that are dangerous - you are playing into a myth created by men that simply isn't true and anyone anyone who DOES believe it needs their head examined. Just like men don't like women who are pushovers, women don't like men who are pushovers, but that does not mean to say they enjoy being made to feel inferior. Women who do put up with chauvinistic men are lacking self esteem and self respect. This is not the norm so listen to what the majority of women are saying out there instead of some weird idea you have in your head!

That's not the case and not entirely true but alot of women do lean toward these types of men and that shows something about them. And also about the men who feel the need to do this. They're both WEAK.

Its not about giving them negative comments. Its about challenging them and saying things they don't expect. Your far more interesting to a woman if she can't read and predict you. Its not that they like negative comments but that when you challenge them and what they expect you stand out from the crowd.

If u don't give a woman a challenge she will see u as easy. Busting on her brings out her competitive side and insecurities. She will try to gain ur approval.
