No mixing up please. Would you accept modern scientific treatment or believe and act, anyway you have to go to Him in the end, so why not 'earlier the better'?

It seems most do not read question properly. I have said no mixing. That means you can not have best of both the worlds, at least as far as my question is concerned! Is it Science or God?

Science, not mythology.

Well maybe a little bit of both is a healthy thing. Sprituality helps you accept that what ever is to become of you is God's will. However being a spiritual person you have to understand the God gave us the knowledge we have of ourselves, and I would trust Science because that is also God's will. We cannot cure all illnesses but God gave us the tools and the power to learn. Science may not cure my illness...but the knowledge gained may cure someone else later. The fundimental question is if God did not want us to save ourselves then why would He give us the ability to learn? I believe Science IS a gift from God.

I would accept treatment and pray for God's will. Killing yourself in the name of God while there is medical treatment is not the way God wants us to live. Some pple won't receive blood, that's ludacrice--if you're doing it in the name of God. God has HIS timing for our death and so we should take every reasonable opportunity to get better. It's not wrong and sinful to use medicine and science for health purposes. I am a born-again christian and I would not refuse much needed medical or helpful scientific help.
It is not up to us to pull the plug. Let God end your life, not you.

God created the world and everything on it. Therefor God created science, and put ideas into peoples heads for medicines. So I would trust that the Lord has allowed the medicines to cure me to exist.

Science.

God doesn't want us to be stupid. Faith and prayer doesn't cure cancer. God does not interact with us in that way. I think prayer has it's place though. Prayer can bring peace and serenity to your life when faced with a grave sickness. But modern science may be able to save you.

But I think it should truly be the choice of the individual. But, when kids are involved I think it they should receive treatment if it is available. Parents who rely on prayer for their children's health are prehistoric in their thinking. We shouldn't allow the ignorance of parents to kill off children.

who says you can't do both? God works through physical means, so "modern science" is really just our current understanding of how he does things.
