The northwood P4s are all pin compatible so you can physically put that chip in.
That 2.8Ghz 533Mhz fsb processor is running at a CPU:fsb ratio of 2800/533=5 (actually it's 20 because the fsb is quad pumped but it doesn't matter in this case).
So when you put it into a mobo that supports only 400Mhz fsbs, it's going to run at 400*5 = 2000Mhz = 2Ghz. If your mobo has overclocking settings, you can force it past its official specifications and run it at a 533Mhz fsb anyway. Make sure it does support overclocking before you get that processor but if overclocking is supported, there's a good chance you can force it to run at 533Mhz.

it will be extremely unique in some human beings's workouts and events; on the greater complication-unfastened persons use, the recommendations would be extremely well-known and commonplace (albeit call sort products) because regular procedures are hammered out on a regular basis with the only version being advancements and updates interior the risk-free practices utility and risk-free practices products. truly I truly have not come for the duration of any new approaches however the utilities advance at an identical time as especially plenty doing an identical issues. this could sound stupid although that's an occasion i visit apply besides (as i'm no risk-free practices expert). If computing device viruses initiate floating down from entrails or growing to be from crop circles to discover their way into our computers, that actual could be very alien. that's no longer occurring, a minimum of I truly have not heard of it!

Yes it will work , but at 400 not 533. So don't spend the extra money on it. Your better off getting lower latency RAM with a Matching CPU.

your mobo can only support up to 400 and your cpu is 533. they will be incompatable. they will not work if they are not the same speeds. try exchanging your cpu for one with a 400fsb
