I started my period in January. The very begining. And I don't like pads and i know how much better tampons are and i know all the risks and to change them often and i really want to start using them. But i'm worried.. i'm 14 and starting high school. When should i start using them? is it okay to start using tampons a year after you start? and tips? thank you!

There isn't anything wrong with using tampons. I can't imagine wearing pads, they feel like a diaper! There are plenty of brands that are thinner than the others for more comfort. I would start with those if you've never used them before, they're easier to put in. Also, you don't need to wait to start using tampons, it's just a choice. Good luck girl! :o)

You should wait 2 years until you start using tampons. This is because you need to know your flow to be able to find the right absorbency. You don't want to rush things. You should always talk to your doctor because teens are still growing and body's are still changing.

You should talk to your doctor about when the best time to switch to tampons is. Tampons are not good for teens because their bodies are still developing inside and out. It is best to wait until you are completely developed.

I don't know the climatic conditions of the place you are leaving. Humd environment and not good for tampoon users. Tampoons cause much infection in the longer run, sometimes may lead to Big 'C' too if infection is ignored and proper medical care is not taken. It is better to use pads as they are external in nature.

if you and your mom have a good relationship, you can ask her to tell you the detail of inserting tampons. Otherwise ask a good girlfriend- it is a weird experience the first time, but it is ok for a virgin to wear these, much better than pads.

If she simply asks you probably have a lady, it usually method they're moderately interested and curious in the event that they will have to pursue. If she asks you "stuff like that" plenty, she needs you. That or certainly one of her Friends needs you, do not soar the gun, see if she flirts again.
