Please tell me that you don't mean WHILE you are breastfeeding?? Hope not.. multi-tasking is one thing but......Anyway, in answer to your Q., No. you shouldn't sleep with him. You don't love him..I can see it in your words. You are grateful to him.. but it sounds to me like you wish that the two of you could be friends.. But you feel like you should because of what he's done for you right? And you probably don't have the means to move out and care for your baby?? So what. One day you will. Tell him you are not ready for sex..Tell him that you need time to figure out your feelings. THEN you will be able to see what kind of man he really is. If he is patient with you,and doesn't expect sex in exchange for his " help", Who knows? Maybe you will want to be with him. Otherwise, If you don't want to have sex, don't... And breastfeeding has nothing to do with it. I don't know why I went into all of this. Probably all you wanted to know was if sex can interfere with breastfeeding. No. But the fact that you had to ask is scary. You have much to learn. Good Luck to you!

Before having sex with ANYONE, they should submit to AIDS, Hepatitis and STD tests! I have never heard that having intercourse during the months/years a person breastfeeds is harmful; however, if you contract one of the above diseases, those could be passed to your child that is being breastfed. Also, just because someone was there for you during this rough period doesn't mean he is a nice guy. Perhaps he was just hoping for sex. Besides, you say you are "kind of" in love with him. That's not like being in love. You can also get pregnant again, even while breastfeeding and then if he hits the road, you'll have TWO children to feed.

yes u can have sex while breastfeeding.it has nothing to do with the baby or milk. so yeah the only thing thats bad is if he loves sucking on nipples might not like the sour milk.so go ahead and have sex and have no worries.

It's perfectly fine physically, and he doesn't seem to have a problem with it. The only thing left is how you feel. If you aren't comfortable doing it, don't.
