i'm using a music/sound editing system called audacity and i imported a wma file, but it screeches when i play it. HELP. should i be trying and converting it to an mp3 file? how do i do that

if the wma file screeches.. Then converting it would do no good.. You need a good file first before converting.

look for a program called dBpoweramp music converter. Works great. I think you can get it for free from sourceforge.
