oh my god when i was 14 me and three of my frends done an ouija board in the graveyard down the bottom of my street. it was really exciting. we drew it up on a wooden board ,got a glass and headed off to the spot. we all put our fingers on the glass on top of each others. started the chant and the glass started to move,it was freaky.it ended up being a women that lived near us and wanted to give a message to her children.we all thought it was one of us pushing it so we all took turns in having our finger at the bottom on top of the glass, when mine was at the bottom there was no pressure on my finger and the glass was still moving.we neva did find her children.we were supposed to go back the next day to do it again but we had burried the board on the beach and couldnt find it.lol.

yes, and it does work. but really, i wouldn't recommend it.
in one experience i tested the responses to see if they bore any relation to what i was thinking. to cut the story short, infact what was in my head was being directly translated onto the board... so infact, though i believe one is not controling the 'glass', what ever is has extraordinary access to one's mind, and that is a very very dangerous position to put yourself in if you don't know how to control it. not to mention the fact that it will tell you anything you want to hear... so contact with a loved one? go to a pro.
the after effects can be unnerving.... most common is your name being called. if you 'over do it' the calling becomes more and more demanding until 'accidents' start to happen, this is usually because the more frequent you access these spirits, you come into contact with progressively more powerful ones. if you tap into something negative first off the 'accidents' will start more quickly. they are calling your name because they want this contact with our world.
if you do decide to do it... avoid places where you feel a strong presence... a grave yard for expample would be a really bad idea... or a room/house that you think might be haunted.

I done a ouija board and talked to my mother. Alot was spelt out that was VERY accurate.
But if you ever do one, always ask for the specific person you want to contact; otherwise you will be inviting anything in. And at the end, say goodbye properly, and always make sure you say you don't want any more contact with the 'other side'.
Everyone says you shouldn't mess with a board, and I certainly wouldn't.
My sister who is a bit of a sh!t house even did it with me. She was stunned too.
And when it spelt out our Mama's message of love for every single one of us, from the adults to every one of the kids, we sat there in silence with tears streaming down our faces.

I've never tried personally but I work in a witchcraft shop and I know they can be dangerous, but no more dangerous than Tarot cards.
We get a lot of customers coming into the shop asking for help and telling us about situations that went wrong. If you don't put the right protection on them, it can be very dangerous. So it's common sense not to dabble with them and make sure you know exactly what you're doing before you attempt one.

yes i did with my friend when we were about 17 years old. we asked it questions about how long we would live and boys, stuff like that. it did answer with what we thought were freaky answers but they say that your subconscious mind guides the piece of wood to point to the letters making the answer you want, that you really do control it without realizing it, moving the piece around on the board with an ever-so-slight touch. very possibly true. it was fun nonetheless and i don't put any real value in it. i believe it is a phenomenon of our ability to control more than we realize.

I made my own and used it. But you must be very very careful. This is not the sort of thing you should play about with. If you want to make contact with the spirit world(Heaven or whatever you want to call it) then go to a Spiritualist Church or a genuine Medium. Take Care.

My dad gave me any answer to the question the same as one of the other answerer's did... 'Don't do it' and never gave me reasoning.. My sisters tried it and she got in touch with people who told her stuff that she didn't believe.... but it didn't mean it wasn't true, this 'spirit' was more or less trying to mess up her life, lucky she didn't believe it cos it could of done some permanent damage.. she shouldn't of messed to start with..

Nothing happened.
It's completely silly, and very hard to take seriously.... especially when you KNOW someone else is moving it.
People just want to hold on to their belief in the unknown; they want to believe that something real will happen, but it never does.

It's fun to play with other people because they can subtlely move it and give you creepy answers. But I wouldn't do it alone. I had one when I was twelve and it freaked me out enough that I had to throw it out.
