Give it a day or two if you've just had your eggs retrieved. I think your body needs a little time to heal. If it's after frozen embryo transfer, I'd still give it a day or two, just to let things settle.

It's important to consider whether you're going to feel guilty if the in vitro doesn't work out. If you are, you're better off waiting.

If you are canine the next conception will have birthrite if its in the same heat cycle. I don't know about any other animals. Maybe just cross 'em if you only have two legs.
