Use hydrogen peroxide. Get some plastic gloves, pour the peroxide directly onto the shirt. It's not bleach, so it shouldn't remove color. Rub the peroxide in, and watch the blood lift out. Then, wash away with water, and repeat until you can't see the stain. Throw the shirt into the wash, and it should look perfect.
At work, I do laundry often, and there are stains from god knows how long from "accidents" and it works like magic.

Peroxide is excellent for this. They use it in hospitals. Just pour some on the shirt, and let it sit for a few minutes. Your can pour some more on again if it doesn't come out the first time, and rub the shirt together a little bit. Repeat as many times as necessary to get the blood out, because it has sat for a week.
We use it all the time for blood and other stains. Good luck.

You can try these and please note - don't use HOT water as that usually sets the stain, making it harder to get out.
1) Apply a paste of baking soda and cold water. Let sit until dry and rinse off.
2) Waterless hand cleaner - rub it into the stain well, then rinse with tepid water.
3) I also use a combination of Dawn dishwashing liquid and Wisk laundry detergent, rub it in and let soak in warm water for a few hours. Hopefully one of these will work for you.

As already mentioned, hydrogen peroxide has always worked for me. Apply to the stain and rub well - rinse with cold water and repeat a couple of times.

the fashion to get rid of blood from any fabrics or carpet is to placed hydrogen peroxide on it then rinse with chilly water. If there is an outstanding style of blood it may require better hydrogen peroxide, it really is inexpensive so only pour it on.

It sounds gross, but spit on them, the saliva in your mouth has enzymes that break down protein, then let them sit for about ten minutes and rinse in cold water. If that doesn't work, put peroxide on them. between the two, the blood should redissolved.

I'm too sure on how to get rid of the blood but I do know that disposing of the weapon you used is mandatory. Rivers or creeks are ideal.
