My IQ test result reads 131. What does this means?
If it is supposed to be high, why am I not successful in life?

IQ is not a guarantee of success or failure. Working hard and taking advantage of opportunities makes people successful. Also, it depends on your definition of "success". For some people, that means having a certain kind of job or income or 'stuff'. For others, it means happiness, peace, and making the world a better place.
An IQ of 131 would indicate that you have higher than average intelligence. School probably was/is easy for you, and that may be where your success will lie. Also, some people with learning disabilities (such as dyslexia) also have high IQs---finding the best way to deal with the disability can improve success (at least academic) in cases like that.
So, take a look at your life. What is your personal definition of success? Do you work hard and look for opportunities, or do you wait around and just expect good things to happen to you?
Answer those 2 questions for yourself, and you'll have a starting point.

If it's an internet IQ test, it means next to nothing. If it was an IQ test administered by a psychologist, it means your IQ is higher than 97 percent of the population (you're really smart, possibly MENSA material). If you're not successful in life, it's due to your lack of motivation or the choices you have made. Basically, you haven't realized your potential. Then again, it depends on how you define success.

131 is one of those IQ numbers that means you think the same forwards as backwards. However this can be a problem as you often don't know whether you are coming or going.

The average IQ is 100, and the highest IQ is usually 160.
Maybe you aren't successfull in life because you don't have very much knowledge? Just a guess.
PS kitty rodgers is an idiot. She thinks intelligence=knowledge.

I doubt your IQ is even close to 131. I mean come on now, if it was you would be well aware of what it meant! Give us a break!

Depending upon the test, it means your smart enough to join Mensa (top 2%). But all Mensans know that so maybe it was a mistake.

Sometimes it is better to have what they call common sense, it will get you farther. Don't take that score too seriously because mine was real close and I am not a genius.

try testing your "EQ" (emotional quotient) which has little to do with intelligence and everything to do with maturity and success.
