Why doesn't CBS.com know I already have a media player (Media Player 10) when trying to watch Big Brother?

Innertube video at CBS.com asks me to download a media player. I already have the two that they offer me. I tried re-downloading one but it didn't work. Am I doing something wrong? Serious answer from knowledgable person please (humor is cool, but I'd like to figure this out) Thanks to all and any who can help!
