I bawled like a baby on Awakings with Robert Deniro and Robin Williams.

Why is everyone saying the movie The Notebook was sad? READ the book people - I was bawling and sobbing so hard I had snot dripping and couldn't see. The movie, not so emotional. I hated the movie but maybe it was just because I read the book first and reading you can actually get inside the characters and their emotions which does not compare to a mearly watching a movie.

In terms of emotionally - The Green Mile. I can cry just thinking about it.

The saddest as in 'worst' though is a close one between Beaches and any Adam Sandler movie.

Movies that are so powerful in their message that they invoke strong emotions, are, for me, the best movies of all.

One of my two of my favorites in recent years is "Unfaithful" with Richard Gere & Diane Lane. It graphically depicts the possible dire consequences of being caught up in an illicit affair, and the result in this case was sad for ALL involved. It's a movie I will never forget!

The other was a movie Jennifer Aniston made around '98, I think, called "The Object of my Affection". It centers around her complex relationship with the gay man she is in love with - a highly underrated film, starring a highly underrated actress. Jen gave a performance worthy of an Oscar in my opinion; a very convincing dramatic role for her. This movie hit close to home on a personal level, and I STILL can't see it without crying like a baby! I HIGHLY recommend everyone to see it, even if you are not into gay-themed movies, you WILL feel empathy for what Jen is experiencing. The bittersweet ending is GUARANTEED to leave you with a lump in your throat, and a sadness for anyone who has endured this unique version unrequited love.

okay, don't think I am a looser, but I think the saddest movie I ever watched was "Charlottes Web" I cried when charlotte died in the end, I was only like 8 or 9 then.
