For me Burundi, Timbuktu, Tallahassee are a bit off main stream. Not to say that I don't like them.

There is a place on the coast of Granada in Spain called Almuñécar, but it's original name was "Sexi", there are various hotels and water parks which keep that name. One hotel called "El Loro Sexi", which effectively means "The sexy parrot", although it refers to the area's original name!
And yes, Bankok is an old favourite with me too! he he he
Another place name in Spain, Fuengirola. It's not that funny, it's just a wierd name, and the English pronounce it really funny, like "Finger rolly".
