She has been acting since she was a child and has over 100 different roles credited to her career in televisions and movies.
She was born in England is the older sister to actress Angela Cartwright. Her her first big role was in T.V. as Linda in "Make Room for Daddy" (1957-1965). She also had a role on "Leave It To Beaver" and gave the Beav his first kiss.
The role for which she easily recognized for is as Lambert in the movie "Alien".
She has had roles in numerous T.V. episodes in such popular series as CSI, Cold Case, Boston Legal, Nip and Tuck, Law and Order SVU, Six Feet Under, Without a Trace and many, many more.
The worst role that I have seen her in was as Dottie Delgato, the bi-sexual stripper in the movie "Sparkler" opposite Park Overall and Freddie Prinze Jr.
She is still active as an actress and has a role in a movie that is to be released in 2007 called "The Visiting"

Yes, she is now middle-aged but in the fifites and sixties she was on shows like Make Room for Daddy and Lost In Space. She was also in Sound of Music (the movie). Her sister is actress Veronica Cartwright. She owns a botique called Rubber Boots.
