I am in kind of a fix right now. I have just completed my MBA abroad and unfortunately have not got any job to date. I have been trying extremely hard. My father says he is getting old and wants me, his only son, to join the family trucking business. However, I am totally confused at this point in time, whether to join his business which boasts a fleet of 100 trucks or whether to join the corporate world. Any suggestions?

I'll stop with this. You will work harder, work longer hours, encounter and solve more problems in your own trucking business than you will in some corporation.

To work or not to work this is the question. If you don't have a job now what is wrong with working until something bigger and better comes along. There is plenty of time to decide later if you want to take over the family business.

Go for the family business. Work at different jobs and gain an overall hands on experience and work your way up to the top, that way you will be more prepare to eventually take over the company.
