Almost everyone has internet access these days, but from my observations, the ones with the most people in them are located on main roads, close to high schools. and are very very game friendly, they have created a gaming type atmosphere. its all in the location and marketing.
i have never opened one, but i use to work as a courier, and i have been in my far share of them.

Used to be a profitable model once upon a time. Doesn't work out today because,

1. Internet rate have come down drastically
2. Almost everybody has access to internet

The model can be made to work if the "cafe" (I mean food and drink) is the focus and the internet is the add-on. The model also exists in the form of Wi;Fi enabled restaurants.

There are several internet cafes in Ontario. Go around and observe how do they work. Look at surveys. And get hold of people in chamber of commerces and business associations. It is importnat to ask about the ones that did not work: What has happened to them?
