The answer is the question. It is C over D plus 2. If it was C+2 over D+2, you would have too many 2's added. Example: 3/4+2=2 and 3/4. If it was your way 3+2/4+2 it would equal 5/6.

Question is a lil bit vague, but here goes.

Assuming the answer you seek is expressed as X your formula would now read

(C/D)+2=X

therefore

C=(X-2)*D and D=(C+2)/X

Damn its been a long time since i dun this

are you sure it's not a trick question that you were lured into? c/d can mean compact disc as an example... it can mean buy a C/D, get two "something" for free... why do i say it? your equation should have an equivalent on the other side...someone computed it with assumption, and his equation is correct...

my point is, placing a bet on an equation with no equivalent is a trick question, okay?

you have the simplest form. it can't be easier. you can also draw a graph by substituting values for C or D to see the final answer of this equation.

thanks

C/D + 2 = C/D + 2D/D = (C+2D)/D
