I feel sorry for people like Dominique 427 (see below) race is not part of the question and it seems that the race card is her only friend, and to call sex, drugs, violence, theft, and utter disregard for others showcased in that form of "music" and its vidios decentis sad to say the least. and yes in all that she made a point it is world wide so that in itself can discount her race theory.

Simple, because we allow it to. be a role model for your child and watch and guide them every step of the way. It's YOUR job!

Don't go there please....Decent? come on now!! And who are you so say what is perfect. It's the parents. If they parents dont tell them what to do. most parents aren;t role models for their children. They do what the hell they want. Those role models aren't bad influences or undecent. how can you say that? that's racist with you even saying it. just by you usage of words. Its obvious!

go preach somewhere else if you want a change. hip hop is the most copied way of being in society WORLDWIDE. This is a new generation. 2006!! get used to it!
They kids got morals. just because they act a certain way doesn't mean that they have become...what you call " rap music thugs" zombies. I hope you re-read your question and see how stupid it sounds. honestly. You must be old and prejeduce old fashioned man who is afraid of changes.. I pitty you!
What is a perfect world to you??? without black people...that's basically what your trying to say. go to NC theyre some rednecks over there who love country music. and are like 8 years behind fashion!!!hahahahaha

same as in my generation - BAD parental role models which forces their kids to look elsewhere for heroes and role models.
i would have taken my parents as role models BUT they were aloof, difficult, unappealing, HOSTILE, rejecting, ridiculing, punitive, unavailable, unloving and unlovable, distant, menacing, better than us (when we were your age!), unfriendly, CRITICAL and other not so wonderful things whereas our chosen role models were fun, approachable, neat, interesting, etc. - even if they were 'thugs'!
