there has to be 6 months between when you are due to return and your passport expiring or they wont let you travel. you can renew it express (costs about £70) if you go to london yourself to the passport office and they do it there and then for you. otherwise, this time of year you'll be waiting around a month or so maybe more for the passport office to get it back to you.

I'm pretty sure that you need six months minimum on your Passport when you return to the UK, if you are going outside the EU, even to Commonwealth countries like New Zealand. The best thing to do is contact the Airline you are travelling with and ask. The worst thing to do is turn up and be refused your flight because of it. You won't have to go to London if you live nearer one of the Passport offices, Liverpool is our nearest and I think there's one in Leeds.

The day you get any passport you could return and forth, you have been given incorrect innovations. while you're vacationing alot international and your passport is approximately to run out they propose updating one before you go away. i anticipate you have one for ten years, so no hassles there at this degree. yet between NZ and Australia is high quality because it is fairly common to get to passports in the two us of a issued via NZ or Australia. have exciting in NZ - and be sure you do the South Island (exceedingly see Nelson).

I think you generally are preferred to have at least 6mths when you get back until your passport runs out. Don't know why though and if they stop you travelling over this.

Before your depart to N.Z. check with their consulate to see if they allow any person whose passaport is within 6 months from expiration to enter the country. (Most countries do not) If they let you enter the country, you will not have any problems leaving the island.
