i have a few of each... im not asking WHAT to get, just trying to decide which one. I want both, but will do only one.

Tattoos are a personal choice, and its something you have to think long and hard about, unlike piercings you cant remove them whenever you want. If i was you i would get something that reflects who you are, in a place where if you need to cover it up you could.

The one thing I always think about when I see tattoos is "How is that gunna look when that chick is 76 years old?". Now, maybe to her it won't matter. But, we've got a whole generation of kids today with tattoos who are going to get old someday. Seriously, some of these tattoos will look REDICULOUS on an old lady. But, this could end up being a more cultural thing and we get buried with all our tattoos which tell a "story" about our lives. Hmmm...whatever.
Piercings can be removed as you get older or decide that you no longer want them. A good one to begin with is the ear. Then, the belly.

I like both tattoos and piercings. They are both unique in their own ways. Tattoo is a piece of art that stays with you forever (unless u get rid of them- laser=pain). Hence, think wisely of what you wanna put permanently on your skin. I don't know where you live so I have no idea to tell you where you should go for your tattoo/piercing. Tattooooooooos and piercings are AWESOME!

Which one is more suited to your lifestyle? If you get a tattoo it should be something you have had in mind for quite some time. Piercings are a little more "disposable" so when you tire of them you just retire the piercing.

really what is your personal preferance? i've got my ears pierced, that wasn't by choice....and 5 tattoos. i was never a fan of piercings personally but tattoos are interesting to me so yeah 5....i just recommend that if you do get a tattoo don't get it on your foot, it hurts like a b**** :) and whatever you decide think about it first...i thought long and hard about all my tats and don't regret any because they are all significant to something in my life, they weren't just the cool thing to do.

Nose piercing--thats so cute. Plus piercings are better because if you decide later you don't like it you can take it out, it'll heal up and no one will know. If you get a tattoo and regret it later- you either stuck with it or it's pricey to remove not to mention potential scarring.

Well, tattoos are forever, so only do it if you are sure. I prefer both, but if you have something in mind that is special to get tattoed, then do that. piercings are cheaper though. i would just think of all the pros and cons of each, and decide which would be better in your situation.

you can never remove a tattoo. (you can but you always still see something.) With a piercing when you dont like it anymore you can remove it and then after a while the skin is fixed.
So if you are putting a tattoo think long before you put it on your skin. (no boy/girlfriends names because some relations dont last till dead.)

Tattoos and piercings are a way of self expression. They should be about you and only you. Make sure to chose something meaningful, because it will be there forever. You can't ask somebody else what YOU should get.
I totally love tattoos more though

I prefer tattoos, I just think piercing is ok for a while, but it soon becomes ugly as the skin stretches with age.
