As fast as a regular dog...they are pretty damn fast! I used to live near the hills and I worked nights so I would get home after midnight. The coyotes would be running around the neighborhood looking for trashcans to raid, or house cats to nab. When I'd park and get out of the car, they'd see me, freeze momentarily, and then dart away quickly. They are kinda jumpy and usually afraid of humans. Fast though....
