i was just thinking and thought of a hypothetical situation thought i might share it and see if anyone agrees or has proof of me being wrong which i hope you do. are we evolving right this moment in a bad but throughout time a better cause? are all these diseases and viruses really us evolving like neanderthals and the missing link and whatever else to kill us off and create the better smarter race? what if we are just another link to another link and so on and so forth? what do you guys really think of all these things plaguing our bodies that we cant survive? maybe there was no asteroid or ice age that killed the dinosaurs maybe they just died off to make room for the newer better species and what if that is happening to us right now as your reading this? just think about it, you could have a brain tumour growing in you right now and not know about it unless you have health insurance or cancer spreading throughout your whole body. is it possible?

I would say it is possible...as far as the diseases go i would say more that human race is evolving the germs to become better at killing us and more resistant to our medicines.

Well I suppose it is possible. I mean there is no EXACT proof that those are the reasons the diff. species died out. but I know that eventually Humans will die out like the early worms and fish, then the dinos, mammals are next on the list. either bacteria will kill us or were just gonna comment GENOSIDE/SUICIDE. we could very easily kill everyone and almost everything on Earth. If that happens then the cockroaches will take our place. Its only a matter of time. but I'll be dead by that time so I really dont care right now.

Evolution dose not mean we are evolving for the better or for the worst ..eventually we will be a link to a another link

We are at this very moment making way for a smarter race

You are thinking 'outside the box' which is a good thing!

Your point is well made. One thing is sure, and that is that humans are overpopulating the Earth. It is customary for any species to develop natural enemies with overpopulation until there is sufficient 'die-back' to balance the ecology.

We need to pay attention to what is going on at a larger level to determine if we are going to be subject to large-scale parasites or disease organisms due to our precarious situation.

As far as it goes, evolution itself is so gradual that we won't notice any significant permanent changes in the species in one or two generations. But over 100 or more, there may be issues such as you propose.

No doubt the world is unfolding as it should.

You propose a very interesting question but you load it by using the word "demise". For example we talk about the dinosaurs "perishing", well thank goodness they did or we not be here.

If the watch was wound up again and set free once more we would have ilfe again on earth but nothing like we have now.

You misunderstand one basic point. Disease isn't a new thing to us.

And of course we are still evolving, you can't just stop evolving (although I think your family might have a couple thousand years ago)
