Here are some extracts from the link:
The object in chess is to checkmate your opponent's King. Checkmate, or just "mate" occurs when a king is attacked and the king cannot escape capture on the next move.
Chess is played on a board with 64 squares set up in the following way:
The Rooks begin the game in the corners. The Knights (many beginning players call them horses) are next to the Rooks. The Bishops start next to the Knights. And then the King and the queen.
Note that white and black Queens both begin the game on squares of their color. The white Queen begins on a white square. The black Queen begins on a black square.
And, at the beginning of the game, always start with a white square in the lower right corner of the chessboard.
TO BEGIN THE GAME, white moves first, and then black... taking turns until CHECKMATE, or one player RESIGNS, or both players agree to a draw.
The queen combines the powers of both the rook and the bishop. As such, it can move horizontally, vertically, or on the diagonal. In a sense, it's like the king in that it can move in any direction. Unlike the king, however, it can move far in one direction so long as there are no pieces in its path.

There are 8 pawns 2 rooks(fort's) 2 knights, 2 bishops, and the king and queen. The pawns on their first circulate can circulate forward 2 areas. yet basically for their first turn. maximum folk do not see them as effective because of the fact something, greater of a luring piece to capture your combatants piece to take it so it opens up a strike decision in the direction of a greater effective piece possibly. your rooks can basically circulate in at once strains , yet can circulate so a techniques as they desire till they attain yet another chess piece regardless of if it quite is an combatants or yours. Knights can basically circulate in an L shape, which from the situation it quite is can the two be on sq. forward and a pair of squares to the two facet. Or 2 squares forward and one sq. the two facet. Bishops basically circulate diagonal on the colour they are status on. Queen can circulate in all instructions different than the L shape. And is properly between the greater significant products. So do your appropriate to not lose this piece, it makes the interest extremely not user-friendly. The king can basically circulate one area at a time. the main to the interest is to think of a few strikes forward. by using this i propose while you're considering making a circulate, think of if something would be bale to take it, and if he does will it quite is worth it on your next turn? you attempt to seek for achieveable outcomes. you will additionally desire to attempt to back up your chess products, so as that if he's taking slightly you have yet another piece to back it up. additionally having their king consistent with any paths of your piece motives a verify and vise versa on your king, as quickly as this happens you may desire to circulate it out of harms way, or place slightly in front of it to dam. To checkmate you're able to desire to make it so as that he can not circulate his king in any path without being in verify,or able to get yet another piece to dam. then you extremely've gained desire this grew to become into effective.
