The worst possible way to break up with someone is to move without telling them. You don't live in the same place, you don't have the same phone number, you switch email addresses...
If you've got a steady, think about it. How horrible would it be if they just up and vanished, and you never why or where they went? You might even think they'd been kidnapped and killed.
It would be terrible.

Maybe your current counselor isn't a good match for you. Can you try to see a different therapist? A different approach may make a positive change for you. You may also opt for seeing your therapist less often - so it's not such a time burden. I know people who go to therapy every other week, for a longer session. Also there's some good books/workbooks out there for dealing with these sort of issues. "A Safe Place" by Jan Morrison is a spiritual/sex abuse book geared towards teens. "Coping with Trauma-Related Dissociation" by Boon, Steele, and Van Der Hart is a good thought provoking workbook (if you've experienced dissociation, a sort of spacing-out, as result of your abuse). Dan Burns' workbook on self esteem and workbooks related to PTSD are also helpful. You might want to try some sort of group therapy. If there's not one for your primary concern (the abuse) then you could find one for relationships/being social or self harm/drug/alcohol abuse. There's even group therapies that just get adults together to do social activities. Being sexually traumatized when you're young can really set you up for a difficult life afterwards. A lot of thoughts/opinions about yourself and the world may be formed as an after effect of the abuse experience. That's one reason why "recovery" can be long, difficult, and seem unnecessary at times. Whatever your decision, think through it logically. If therapy's not working - try to find another therapist or program that your victims comp would cover. A 3.5 GPA is fantastic, so keep up with the schooling. Try to get yourself emotionally stable and financially able to get out - rent your own place so that you don't have to face the negativity of your mother/family. If you begin to feel very desperate in any self harmful way (using alcohol or drugs, for example) I encourage you to call a friend, your therapist, or a hotline (some hotlines are to talk, not to send police over to put you inpatient).

I think the worst way to break up with someone is to cheat on them, and break their heart. This kind of hurt can cause them to learn to distrust everyone in their future, it could cause them to be changed, jealous suspicious and a person who will try to hurt their new partners before they can hurt them. Cheating in general is bad, cheating with one of their relatives or someone that they THOUGHT was their friend is another kick right where it really hurts.
Can I ask why you are asking this? Do you want to really try to hurt someone? Just curious...if so, this usually will work!

I didn't get a break up letter. What happened was I was laid off of work. My fiancee worked at that same place. I haven't heard from him since then (April). I tried to contact him a few times, but never got any calls back from him. Just when I needed him (emotional support... not financial support), he just left me. I thought that was pretty lousy. (I just got a new job... much better pay). And yes, I hocked my engagement ring... ended up not really meaning much of anything to him.

well its not a letter, but when someone breaks up with you by just moving on to some one new and not telling you, and a week down the track you see them making out with some one else

worst way that actually happens? text message. no! myspace message!
surely that doesnt happen...
actual worst way, but being beaten unconscious by a pod of midgets only to wake up with no kidneys and a note tied around your neck saying that its not working out.
dont know if thats the worst, but it'd be pretty bad.

by email. If you sleep with someone, you have the responsibility to break up face to face. Anything less makes you a puss

Screen your phone calls, never call them back, don't ever talk to them again in anyway. And get a restraining order without explaining why.
