I was wondering if anyone had seen the movie and pursued its knowledge far enough to help me do so too. For example, did you find books to help someone understand this philosophy better and perhaps use it?
Any help would be appriciated.

Here are a couple for the science (the real science):

A Brief History of Time--Stephen Hawking (Lucasian Professor of Mathmatics, Cambridge University)

The God Particle--Leon Lederman (ex-Director of Fermilab, Nobel Prize winner in particle physics)

Here are a couple for the Eastern mysticism coupled with science:

The Dancing Wu Li Masters--Gary Zukav

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance--Robert Pirsig

*I would agree with the posting below regarding practical difficulties with String Theory and the water molecule thing, but there is nothing speculative about Quantum Physics. It's an incomplete theory to be sure, but that's not to say that it's ineffective or incorrect in it's present state. In fact, if it weren't for quantum physics we wouldn't be communicating through these addictive devices that string us all together across the world. But never mind me, read it for yourself...

There are few original concepts in the movie. what i must advise you of is that much of the "science" (string theory, quantam mechanics, especially the bit about the molecular water formations) is downright suspect. The movie, i feel, is a positive thing overall... I am a strong believer in the idea that self brainwashing is ok, as long as you take care in choosing the soap.
