I need information about who buys franchises? This should be general data about the industry, such as age groups, whether men or women are more likely to buy a franchise. Thanks

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

You can try a reference book called the "Market Share Reporter". That might have the info you are looking for.

However, you might have to go directly to the franchise themselves for that kind of information.

Also you can go to a small business centre run by the government and go through their library. All the info you need is in there!
