I am 17. The new boss who just took over at our store told me that I am not allowed to sell alcohol. Period.

I had previously been informed that I was allowed to sell it as long as another employee over the age of 18 was working with me. This is apparently a popular belief, as all my friends that work in convenience stores or other similar jobs abide by the same rule.

If I am truly not allowed to sell alcohol, I believe that my job would be in serious jeopardy -I am the only employee under 18 and other restrictions apply because of that - What good am I if now I have to run and get someone else to ring up the alcohol? (which we sell a LOT of)

Can someone please find the laws regarding this issue for New Hampshire? Thanks.

Depends on the state..but it would be safe to say that 17 you cannot legally sell it..

Normally states have 18, 19 and 21 as a general rule..

You are still a minor at 17..

In the state of Michigan you absolutely have to be 18 to sell alcohol. You would have to get someone 18 or over to make the sell for you. Being caught could lead to fines and or jail time.
