To my fellow waitresses/waiters out there, does your quality of service go up or down depending on the age group in which you are serving?

I know you shouldn't, but do you act nicer to the elderly or acting all kid friendly for the tots? Do you believe teenagers leave lousy tips so you give them lower quality service than you would an older person?

I think that teens and old people are crappy tippers. Still though, I try to give all my tables the same service. The only time that my service declines is when a person is rude to me right off the bat. If a table doesn't even acknowledge me when I approach them, then why should I go all out. If a guest complains about everything in the restaurant as soon as they walk in the door, then why should I try to make their visit enjoyable, they've already told me that there is nothing I can do.

Although I know it is meant for people who are in the same profession as you are. I am 33 yrs old and I tip based on quality of service and if I am treated like a customer. If I am treated right I tip fairly well. For example the last time I went out with a friend the bill came out to be $45.68 now, hoping that I am right tip is about 15% and although it comes out to be about $7 I left a tip of about $10. So I tend to tip a bit more and on a few occasion even more if the place is busy because I know that they are worker harder to do their best to make sure I am a satisfied customer.

I continuously go away a tip. 10% for undesirable service, 15% for many times occurring and nicely above for large. If I quit someplace just to have espresso, I go away the quantity of the bill or greater for taking over a table with considered one of those small order.i do no longer comprehend why, yet I merely can't go away with out tipping, whether i became no longer completely happy with the service. If the subject became the nutrition and not the service, I nonetheless go away an exceedingly solid tip. it may take a terrible adventure for me to no longer go away a tip, yet I truly have not accomplished so yet.

WHAT YOU'RE SAYING IS TRUE, BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S ABOUT THE TIP. WAITRESS' BECOME GOOD JUDGES OF CHARACTER AND I THINK THAT'S WHAT CAUSES US TO TREAT DIFFERENT TABLES WITH DIFFERENT SERVICE.
