ProAmerican sentiments are at a all time low around the world. Could this have something to do with unilateral militarism, abrogation of the Geneva conventions, allowing torture. What a long ways we have come from Nuremberg.

Might be. We want to do what we want with no interference from any other country. We want to tell the rest of the world how to run their countries. We have appointed ourselves the "world's policemen" and are very busy in our mission of being same.

We pay other countries to "agree" with us. We invade countries with no provocation just because we are bigger and mightier.

We think it is OK for us to have nuclear weapons but want to deny other countries this right.

Face it, the world will hate us for hundreds of years for what we are doing under the watch of G W Bush. Rightfully so. We have increased terrorism worldwide with out actions. We have taught the world to hate us.

People hate America for one simple reason-George W. Bush.

I believe he has done a great job of alienating America from it's allies, with the exception of Britain. His 'with us or against us' policy was a really stupid move. He wanted things done the way HE wanted, and not what was the best thing for America, and the world. I think more countries would have helped under different circumstances, especially if the UN had been involved.

As well, I can tell you that foreigners don't like having the ideals of the American government shoved down their throats. Every country has a different way of life, and maybe democracy is just not for everyone. I think America should have stayed out of many conflicts that they were not asked to participate in. That's a HUGE problem, and frankly it really pi**es people off.

Bush p***ed a LOT of Canadians off because of statements he made in regards to 9-11. Canada took in over 70 diverted planes and citizens took stranded passengers into their homes, or make-shift shelters where they were provided with food, shelter, cots, etc.

Canadians also planned a day to have citizens go to NYC to put money into the economy. Over 25,000 people went and spent millions of dollars. So many people here did everything they could to help out, and instead of saying thanks, Bush made it clear that because we were not gonna go to war that we were an enemy. The small businesses that worked so hard to raise funds or donate supplies did so only to lose business as many Americans boycotted not only products from France, but Canada as well.

One last thing...
Every American I have met in Canada always loves to tell me how much better it is down there, and how Canada is such a cr**py place. If America is so much better, and you are proud of your country, why do so many Americans make sure to take a Canadian flag with them when travelling? Trust me, we don't like it.

I'm sorry to bash America like this. I have been to over 40 states, and people have always been kind to me while I'm there. I have always enjoyed going there and have been really lucky to have made some good friends there. I just really think that Bush has made so many errors that have angered people, and I think it's gonna take a long time to reverse that.

The sentiments you so aptly pointed out are directed by the same sources you use for your information a liberal leaning Press. Have you truly listened to how interviews are done now irregardless of what language you watch in. The interviewer use leading questions laced with personal thoughts/ beliefs. interviews these days are like being on the witness stand in a trial with the attorney for opposing council badgering the individual into using the interviewers terms to describe the events. Now most people around the world base there opinions on what they see and hear and if what they see is propaganda disguised as NEWS, then the people get an extremely biased and unfair opinion. reaper out.......................

Mostly it's jealousy, so don't bother.
Of course, we don't like that the U. S. is making wars everywhere, but if she didn't do that, that would the problem. lol
A reasonable point for the hatred is the cultural and economic supremacy (U. S. movies and values and products... etc. everywhere), but any other country would do the same if she could.
It's all about that the U. S. A. is in the spotlight and so she is the easiest target. America used to be more popular because everybody hated the U. S. S. R. more.

I believe that to be a rather easy question. Alot of Americans are high about themselves, such as going to a foreign country and speaking english while expecting the people there to know english. And when people come here we make to where they can't do anything unless they know enough english to get around. How would you feel if you lived in France or Germany and a group of Americans come in speaking english and throwing a fit because they expect you to understand them. Most countries teach english as a second language because we have ties with alot of places. It's not the same here. We offer Spanish and other languages because so many people from other countries are coming over here and if they over-populate us, we have to be able to understand them at work and school. Or its just because alot of people are racist and we have wicked rights

US has been heading downhill for a on an identical time as. Obama didnt do it, its the device you adult adult males have. besides, right now the baton of economic and defense force superiority is being surpassed to China. In yet another decade or so your question would be beside the point. US will look very distinctive and in time would be called you think of of the likes of Spain and Britain in the present day.

I think we are unpopular because of our president. Not many people like our president. For those people that said that Americans only think about themselves, not all of us do. We can't decide where the money goes to. We can't decide to help other countries. It is congress, the house of representitives, and the presidents votes that decide where all of our money goes to. There are several organizations that go to other countries and hand out food and build houses for the poor. They get the money from Americans who donate a certain amount every month. Not all americans are selfish.

In real Americans are self centred People.Truely speaking their consern for the rest of the world is very little. If at all there is consern, there will definitely be a hidden self (American)cause.Only if a genune intrest in rest of the world community pops up in USA, this situation is unlikely to improve. It might only worsen.

I like the Yanks.

And contrary to the unending propaganda, so does anybody with an ounce of common sense.

It's the scumbags who kill innocent people by piloting hi-jacked planes in to tall towers that the world is looking to exterminate, along with all their worthless supporters.

And the sooner the better, in my none-too-humble opinion.

Kind of ironic for the nation supposedly most devoted to the cause of freedom in the democratic ideal, has decided to enforce that upon other countries, and has assigned itself the role of Global policeforce.
