This is the only Company i have seen that carries
high quality make up that is also natural have a look
http://www.drhauschka.com/
go to holistic products, and then to
decorative cosmetics, i can hardly believe
these are all natural..very nice!.
Okay as for how to apply!
For a full face you'll need all these things
1. Moisturizer
2. Concealer
3. Powder
4. Blush
5. eyeshadow
6. eyeliner
7. mascara
8. Lipstick
Now first get your moisturizer ( Dr Hauschka is the best!)
a. Apply a tiny bit to your fingers and massage on to
face upwards. only put a little!
b. After the moisturizer has set in a little apply
some liquid concealer, or semi solid. Less is more!
Use an applicator sponge to apply it, you can get
these at any drug store, they look like triangles.
c. Then comes the powder, this will finish the look
at make it less shiny, unless of course you like
the shiny look, there are products that enhance this.
powder should be lightly applied in a sweeping motioin
d. Blush, chose your blush color wisely, it should be
only slightly different than your skin color, nothing
too bright or stand-outish. this goes on the apples
of your cheek ( cheek bones ) very very lightly.
Use a Large blush brush to do this, gentle sweeping
motions
e.For eyebrows, use eyeshadow...never liner!
Do it lightly and fill in in the brow area, it looks
so much more natural. Go with a color one
shade lighter than your brows. It should
blend in with the color
f. As for eyecolor and lipstick, pick one which
is going to stand out, dont pick a bold lip
color and a bold eye color. Since you like
eyeshadow i would pick lighter more natural
lip colors so they dont clash with your eyes.
Shadows are fun but complicated to explain.
Eyeshadow:
a. Pick a color slightly lighter than your flesh
and sweep it on the whole eyelid and eye bone.
Then pick a slightly darker color for the crease
between your eye and eye lid, sweep it gently
in a line, it shouldnt be too noticeable. Then
pick your eyelid color, it can be anything you want
purple, green blue, whatever...another thing
you can do is to contrast colors on your eye.
Like using purple on the eyelid itself, and then
putting green on the lash line...
g. Liner. If you are dark skinned use a
liquid or pen eyeliner, and pick dark black
if you are wearing bold eyeshadow, if you are
going for a natural look, chose a brown eyeliner.
Sometimes i like to wear intersting colors of eyeliner
like blue or red etc. Be careful and make sure to
do it right, you want the liner to be a clean line,
also dont trail the liner off the corner of your eye
so you look like an egyptian, it doesnt look good.
Stick to the eyelid, you want it to camafloge right
into you eyelashes.
h. Mascara, not a hard one to apply, but dont
put so much on you eyelashes start sticking together
oh yah! Invest in an eyelash curler! Pick a plastic one
much easier on the lashes.
i. Lipstick, stick to shimmery fleshy tones of
lipstick, if it helps, liine your lips ( flesh colored
liner it MUST closely match your skin tone ) just outside
the natural edge of your mouth then stay within the lines
you want it to be symmetrical ( obviously) and dont
apply too thickly! That can look gross. After you
have practiced this you can use lip liner, lipliner
should always go on first and perfectly or closely
match the lip color you are wearing..btw dont
do the black lip liner yuck!
i think thats it! wow i said alot of crap.
Have fun! And take a look at that site
i gave you, youd be suprised how toxic
regular makeup is, and your skin DOES
absorb it.
take care

Well, it appears you are 12 or 13. That's when I started putting makeup on, but not a lot. Do not use cream eye shadow-use powder shadow. Make sure it's close enough to your skin color so that it doesn't stand out too much. Use a bit of lip gloss or chapstick. Avoid eye liner and blush for now, but maybe you could go for some mascara, at least on the top lids. About getting in trouble, talk to your mom about it.

Make-up isn't that great. I used to dream about wearing it and here I am in my early twenties and rarely put it on. Try a little mascara and a light or bronze eye shadow. Something that isn't too loud or screams at people. Just do a little and maybe a small amount of lip gloss. Keep it natural and if you need any more hints or tips, check out any of Kevyn Aucoin's books. They are entertaining and have great tips from playful looks to natural. He was a great artist, passed away a few years ago, but you'd like his style.

Start off with using light makeup a little at a time. To many girls think they have to have their whole face done and you don't. Wear eyeshadow, some mascara and then a light lip gloss. As you get older you can add a new product here and there.

I have a daughter your age, and she wears make-up at her will. However, if it doesn't look good, I just tell her, and make a suggestion to change it. We are only young once and you should obey your parents rules, but I find the make-up issue to be more of a choice. To me these are little battles, and I want to win the big ones, so I don't make a big deal about Make-up, hair dye, leg shaving etc.
I also agree about the eye make-up, alway remember less is more, because you are young you are naturally beautiful, and you shouldn't use too much.

MAC eyeshadows are great. and they're cheap, too. clinique eyeshadows also go on really well. buy a good eyeshadow brush and just try a little on at first. you'll only learn how to use makeup from doing it over and over again yourself. find a way to put it on in a way that you like it. have fun!

I like MAC eyeshadows. They go on very nicely and the colors are very bold. If you're not too into bold, try Lancome eyeshadows. Their shades are beautiful and go on so smoothly.
